Then, Jack Laun explains the current mass protests in Colombia—what has caused them and what they might bring about.
Aviva Chomsky is professor of history and coordinator of Latin American studies at Salem State University in Massachusetts. She is the author of Central America’s Forgotten History: Revolution, Violence, and the Roots of Migration (Beacon Press, 2021).
Jack Laun is co-founder of the Colombia Support Network based in Madison, Wisconsin.
