Assalamu Alaikum Warahmtulluah wa barakatu
In this week's episode, I speak with Brother Sufeyan from Sydney, Australia.
Brother Sufeyan, was born and bred in Australia after his parents migrated out from singapore. Recently he left his Accounting job of 4 years to pursue a dream of running his own business and has started his own Hijab business called Suriah Scarves (IG @suriahscarves).
I met Brother Sufeyan, during my time in National Service in Singapore over 10 years ago, we both stood out because of our accents, but alhamdulillah we have still managed to keep in touch after all these years. I really enjoyed recording this episode, and I hope you enjoy listening to it.
Some of the questions I ask him in this interview.
How did Islam make its way over there?
What was it like growing up Muslim in Sydney?
What is the Muslim community like?
What are the masjids like?
How what kind of Halal food is available?
What is it like to have Ramadan and Eid there?
What are some things to do as a Muslim In Sydney?
