Also I’m realizing that I made it sound like I think that Viggo Mortenson played Ser Jorah Mormont in Game of Thrones. Of course I recognize that Viggo’s lasting contribution to the fantasy film canon is as Strider aka Aragorn II son of Arathorn II, Chieftain of the Dúnedain, Ranger of the North and High King Elessar Telcontar of the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor. Iain Glen (who is also in the Young Americans) plays Ser Jorah. Also the film features a young Thandie Newton.
