Hello, hello and indeed a HO HO HO.
It's that time of the year when a fat bloke breaks into your house, realises that he doesn't' have any new games consoles for you (thanks scalpers), eats your cookies and buggers off again. It's Christmas… basically.
While we're all off enjoying our socially distanced festivities from tier 4, Dan, Tim and Coleman have left you with a special episode in which they discuss their favourite games of 2020.
It's the first in a series of mini BRB UK episodes while we're away for our Hollibobs.
Since Coleman got to have all the fun talking about Cyberpunk 2077 last week, it only seemed fair to let Dan and Tim get in on the action. So let's all find out together about the highs and the lows (boy are there some lows) in this game.
*Editor's Note* Since the recording of this episode, Sony has not only granted refunds for those that request them but are also removing Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store.
What's up Reality Junkies? Fancy getting three British Gonks jacked into your brain?
It's Dan, Tim and Coleman with some heavy hitters to discuss this week. If you're looking for impressions of cracking titles like Call of the Sea, Project Wingman or Cyberpunk 2077 (it's finally here), then you have come to the right place.
This is the last full show of 2020 for BRB UK but fear not listeners, we're going to have some special episodes to keep you guys company while we're away.
I mean I like the Hitman games at all but what if they were more pixelated?
It's Dan and Coleman two-manning it this week. With a missing Tim and no real news to speak of, expect rambling… much rambling.
Ever fancied a job working in space, where you can break apart various crafts and risk death-by-explosion on a daily basis? Perhaps donning a mark and brutally murdering a bevy of night club dwellers is more your scene? Well, we're talking about two games that should scratch those odd itches you have there with Hardspace: Shipbreaker and Party Hard 2.
Tim takes the reigns this week as Dan and Coleman don't have nice new shiny consoles to play with but they can still jump in with helpful comments and general mick taking.
Listen in to learn about Astro's Playroom, how Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Dirt 5's PS5 releases stack up to their previous-gen counterparts. Plus, there's a little bit of backwards compatibility with Ghost of Tsushima.
Happy launch day to you all, if indeed you are the proud new owner of a PlayStation 5. Sadly, Coleman and Tim didn't get theirs in time but they've got the next best thing… new video games!
Fancy learning about how Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales fairs for the past-gen plebeians? How does The Falconeer on Xbox Series X tickle your fancy? Well, they just happen to be the two games we have for review this week.
Alright listeners, wrap your little lug holes around this tasty bit of podcast.
We've officially arrived in the next-generation of gaming, which shall henceforth be referred to as current-gen. To celebrate, Tim's dropped some cash on an Xbox Series S, while Dan goes for Destiny 2: Beyond Light and Coleman punches his furniture while playing Vader Immortal.
Allo' Treacle, you fancy a podcast from the big smoke?
Dan and Coleman have decided to channel their inner cockney gangsters this week because Watch Dogs: Legion is out and as you may know, it's set in jolly ole Landon Town. Tim also revs in, later on, to give us his review of the very fun Dirt 5 before displaying his audio-technical mastery skills for all to hear. Plus, we've got your feedback to be getting on with (more of that please).
Everybody, here's an audio-thing!
It's the spooky season and in true BRB UK fashion, we've totally forgotten to do anything to celebrate. But you know we've still got Dan, Tim & Coleman all here for the talking… so let's talk.
Looky at the things we're discussing:
Wowee… we're so close to the end of this cursed year but as the next-generation of consoles approaches, there's still so many game launches to come. Basically, Dan, Tim & Coleman thought they'd reflect on the year of gaming thus far rather than cover the news this week (as there's not much going on). Oh, and Tim's reviewing Hyperbrawl Tournament too.
