Big Shiny Goons

Kelly Hinkle (Broad Street Hockey, @hinx) joins the show to talk about her connection to Pearl Jam's debut album, "Ten". Aside from the album, her and Thomas talk about sea shanties, ear-opening artists, and Spanish television.

Mike Pfiel (@mikepfeil_, The Scorchstack) joins the show to talk about La Dispute's sophomore album, "Wildlife". Along with the emotional torture the album provides, they discuss hockey blogging, breaking genre barriers, and relatable lyrics.

Sie Morley (SB Nation, @nowyousieme) joins Thomas Williams to talk all things Taylor Swift. Along with "Reputation", they discuss everything from her transition from pop to country, to being sad and listening to folklore by yourself.

Tim Waugh (Exalt, Mourn) joins Thomas Williams on the second episode of the podcast that brings on sports people to talk about music and artists to talk about sports. Tim talks about his experience as a diehard Arizona Coyotes fan, his experience watching hockey on tour, Shane Doan, and hardcore's love for hockey.

It's a brand new podcast with a debut episode. Thomas Williams brings Arun Srinivasan (Yahoo Sports Canada, @arunthings) on the show to talk about 50 Cent's debut album, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'". Along with the album they talk about pre-game hockey tracks, sports borrowing from art, and ranking favourite rappers.

Welcome to Big Shiny Goons. Hopefully this trailer can explain the concept of this podcast, but if not: Thomas Williams will be bringing on guests each episode to talk about the other side of their interests. Whether it's a sportswriter discussing their favourite album, or an artist talking about the sports team they support; it will all be here.
