[12:15] Venus sextiles Saturn (Nov. 22, 3:55 am PST) at 12º44’ Capricorn-Pisces. Show some love to your employees, students, and assistants!

[13:50] Moon Report! The Virgo Last Quarter Moon (Nov. 22, 5:27 pm PST) is at 01º14’ Virgo. The Sabian symbol for the Moon is A large white cross upraised and for the Sun, 2 Sagittarius, The ocean covered with white caps. This combination speaks of purity of purpose, the devotional aspect of Virgo, and of standing up to the waves when they come your way.

[15:37] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). This is the Last Quarter phase in an LPFC that began with the New Moon on Aug. 27, 2022. The First Quarter phase in the cycle was on May 27, 2023, the Full Moon on Feb. 24, 2024.

[17:08] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Nov. 17 (8:08 pm PST), the Moon in Gemini squares Neptune. It's VOC for 4 hours and 41 minutes before it enters Cancer (Nov. 18, 12:49 am Pacific Time). This VOC Moon highlights the need for clearer, sounder, and kinder communication.

[12:24] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods. On Nov. 11 (10:13 pm PST), the Moon sextiles Pluto. It's VOC for 13 minutes, then enters Aries (10:26 pm PST). Let go of sadness and regret, move toward constructive activities.

[13:54] On Nov. 13 (10:50 pm PST), the Moon in Aries squares Pluto. It's VOC for only 9 minutes, and then enters Taurus (10:59 pm PST). Work out that angst, roll out your yoga mat, or better yet, Nama'stay In Bed!

[15:09] On Nov. 15 (11:03 pm PST), the Moon in Taurus trines Pluto. It's VOC for 6 minutes, then enters Gemini (11:09 pm PST). So much in life is out of our control, but we can learn to control our own thoughts and feelings. 

[16:08] Venus squares the North Node (Nov. 16, 3:03 am PST) at 5°35’ Capricorn-Aries. When a planet is square the nodal axis, it’s said to be at the “bendings” of the nodes.

[9:26] Scorpio's ruling planet, Mars, is forming an opposition to Pluto, its modern ruler. This aspect represents power struggles and the quest to gain control. 

[10:44] At this New Moon, setting intentions should begin with the idea of listening over speaking. 

[12:12] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). The First Quarter action phase in this LPFC is on Aug. 1, 2025; the Full Moon revelation phase on May 1, 2026; and the Last Quarter final action phase on Jan. 29, 2027.

This week: The Capricorn First Quarter Moon is one of the best all year for taking action on a plan. The cosmic lovers, Venus and Mars, meet in a steamy trine. Mercury connects with Jupiter and Pluto before entering Scorpio, the sign of the private detective. Jupiter and Pluto change direction. The Sun’s trine to Jupiter brings optimism and, possibly, a bit of luck. And a listener question about cazimi planets. Plus: Parrots and priests, quilting, and foot-in-mouth disease!

[5:26] Jupiter turns retrograde on Oct. 9 (12:05 am PDT, through Feb. 4, 2025). It's at 21º20’ Gemini, on the Sabian symbol, 22 Gemini, A barn dance. Look within to find sources of hope and optimism.

[6:59] Moon Report! The Capricorn First Quarter Moon (Oct. 10, 11:55 am PDT) is at 17º57’ Capricorn and features a stressful T-square configuration with Mars in Cancer. Work out in order to work off some of the stress.

[8:31] The New Moon that initiated this lunation cycle was a Solar Eclipse on Oct. 2, 2024. 

[9:29] This is the First Quarter in a Lunar Phase Family cycle (LPFC) that began at the New Moon on Jan. 11, 2024, at 20º44’ Capricorn. The Full Moon in this LPFC in on July 10, 2025, the Last Quarter Moon on April 9, 2026.

[10:40] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods. On Oct. 8 (10:54 pm PDT), the Moon squares Neptune. It's VOC for 3 hours and 44 minutes, and then enters Capricorn (Oct. 9, 2:38 am PDT). Think before you speak, and speak kindly.

[12:16] The Moon conjoins Pluto on Oct. 11 (8:53 am PDT) at 29°38’ Capricorn. It's VOC for 38 minutes, then enters Aquarius (9:31 am). Avoid negative self-talk and conflict with those in authority. 

[13:27] On Oct. 13 (7:11 am PDT), the Moon squares Uranus. It's VOC for 5 hours and 44 minutes before it enters Pisces (12:55 pm PDT). 

[14:59] On Oct. 11 (5:32 pm PDT), Pluto stations direct at 29º38’ Capricorn, on the Sabian symbol, 30 Capricorn, A secret business conference. Pluto has been retrograde since May 2, 2024. Issues about wealth, wealth inequality, banking, about the stock market even, could be pronounced around the time of this Pluto station.

[1:09] Mercury conjoins the Sun on Sep. 30 (2:09 pm PDT) at 08º11’ Libra. It's on the Sabian symbol 9 Libra, Three old masters hanging in an art gallery. When a planet is in a close conjunction with the Sun, it’s called cazimi, an Arabic term that means “in the heart of the Sun.” 

[3:22] Moon Report! The Libra New Moon Solar Eclipse (Oct. 2, 11:49 am PDT, 10º03’ Libra) is the last eclipse in Libra until 2033.

[4:15] Look back to past eclipses at this degree for clues as to what this eclipse could bring: most recently, Oct. 3, 1986 and Oct. 3, 2005.

[5:07] Mars at 15º46’ Cancer squares the eclipse point, accentuating the quality of release that is necessary at this eclipse, which is close to the Moon’s South Node. Since the eclipse is in Libra, relationships could be due for a shakeup. If you need to make a decisive cut with the past or with people who don’t help you be your best self, this eclipse could help.

[6:33] This is the New Moon in a Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC) that will unfold over the next few years. And because this New Moon is an eclipse, it's symbolizing important changes in our lives which can take time to develop. The First Quarter of this LPFC comes on July 2, 2025, the Full Moon is on April 1, 2026, and the Last Quarter Moon is on Dec. 30, 2026, at 09º05’ Libra.

[8:32] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Oct. 1 (2:38 pm PDT), the Moon in Virgo trines Pluto, is VOC for 41 minutes, then enters Libra (3:19 pm PDT). 

[9:53] On Oct. 4 (3:40 am PDT), the Moon in Libra squares Pluto, is VOC for 42 minutes, then enters Scorpio (4:22 am PDT). 

[10:47] The Moon in Scorpio sextiles Pluto on Oct. 6 (3:52 pm PDT), is VOC for 42 minutes, then enters Sagittarius (4:34 pm PDT). 

[12:23] Venus trines Saturn on Oct. 4 (10:04 am PDT, 14º07’ Scorpio-Pisces). Venus and Saturn together are in a grand trine in water signs with Mars in Cancer, a prime time for relationships to become serious. 

[14:03] Mercury squares Mars on Oct. 5 (11:37 pm PDT), at 17º33’ Libra- Cancer. Mercury is on the Sabian symbol 18 Libra, Two men placed under arrest, and Mars is on the symbol 18 Cancer, A hen scratching for her chicks. Speak carefully, and walk away rather than responding to hurtful words.

[1:22] Mercury trines Uranus on Sep. 24 (10:27 am PDT) at 27°02’ Virgo and Taurus. If communication and technology problems came up around the Virgo New Moon when Mercury was square Uranus, this could be a good time to resolve them.

[2:19] Moon Report! The Cancer Last Quarter Moon occurs on Sep. 24 (11:50 am PDT), at 02º12’ Cancer-Libra. The Moon is on the Sabian symbol, 3 Cancer, A man all bundled up in fur, leading a shaggy deer. The Sun is on 3 Libra, The dawn of a new day, everything changed. Time to reflect on   our responsibilities to others and the roles our relationships play in society.

[4:44] This is the Last Quarter in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began with the New Moon in Cancer on June 28, 2022. The First Quarter in this LPFC was on March 28, 2023, and the Full Moon was on Dec. 26, 2023.

[6:27] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods. On Sep. 24 (4:59 am PDT), the Moon squares Neptune at 28°25’ Gemini-Pisces. It's VOC for 2 hours 51 minutes before it enters Cancer (7:50 am PDT). Communication could be muddled by emotion. Create new habits of clarity, truth, and kindness.

[7:39] On Sep. 26 (3:12 pm PDT), the Moon opposes Pluto at 29º41’ Cancer-Capricorn. It's VOC for 35 minutes before entering Leo (3:47 pm PDT). Reflect on work/home balance and make intentions to redress any imbalances.

[8:57] The Moon squares Uranus on Sep. 28 (8:36 pm PDT) at 26°56’ Leo-Taurus. It's VOC for 6 hours and 6 minutes before entering Virgo on Sep. 29 (2:42 am PDT). If you have a habit of resisting change for fear of embarrassment, consciously work to change that pattern.

[10:55] On Sep. 25 (4:04 am PDT), Mercury opposes Neptune at 28º23’ Virgo and Pisces. Mercury is on the Sabian symbol 29 Virgo, A man gaining secret knowledge from a paper he is reading. Neptune is on the Sabian symbol 29 Pisces, A Prism. Keep in mind that we may not be seeing things exactly the way they truly are.

[13:06] Mercury trines Pluto on Sep. 25 (9:14 pm PDT) 29°42’ Virgo and Capricorn. Mercury is on Sabian symbol 30 Virgo, A man gaining secret knowledge from a paper he's reading. Pluto is on 30 Capricorn, A secret business conference. Knowledge is power! Use it to achieve powerful ends that can help others.

[15:24] Mercury enters Libra on Sep. 26 (1:09 am PDT, through Oct. 13). Look for ways to bring the qualities of grace, balance, diplomacy, and tact to communications. Watch out for manipulation or passive-aggressive tendencies.

[16:44] On Sep. 29, the Sun and Mercury oppose the North Node (12:25 am PDT and 5:18 pm PDT) at 06°38’ Libra-Aries. The Sun and Mercury are on the Sabian symbol 7 Libra, A woman feeding chickens and protecting them from hawks, while the North Node is on 7 Aries, A man successfully expressing himself in two realms at once. The upcoming Solar Eclipse on Oct. 2, 2024, is close to this nodal degree, so this could be a preview of what is to come.

[19:52] Mars trines Saturn on Sep. 29 (9:06 pm PDT) at 14°24’ Cancer-Pisces. This hard-working combination is motivated by emotions, intuition, love, and family responsibilities.
