I am a strange person with strange hobbies. One of my hobbies is figuring out how to simplify things. I love it when friends give me complicated problems and I can boil it down to the essence. The world at large calls this the K.I.S.S. Principle, which stands for Keep It Super Simple. I am going to call what I do "Simply the Jeff."
In this short video, I share how one could create a virtual summit using an existing Learning Management System (LMS).
You might be wondering why anyone would be crazy enough to do that. It is about simplicity.
You see, I truly believe that a well run and intentionally hosted virtual summit (or conference or expo or whatever you call it) is a great way to share your Key Strategic Partners with your existing community AND build your community with the help of your Key Strategic Partners.
HOWEVER, when I leave it up to my clients, they never seem to get around to schedule an in person workshop or event.
I was trying to solve the dual challenges of reluctant clients and needless expenses. And, here is what I came up with.
A virtual event hosted on your favorite video conferencing platform (mine is Zoom) is an amazing way to serve your best clients, reach out to new potential clients, and build authentic relationships with your Key Strategic Partners. The cherry on top is that a virtual event is easy to set up, cheap to run, and highly effective in the right hands.
The challenge I have faced in the past is that a lot of the "custom" virtual event software out there is expensive and complicated. You can easily spend between $25,000 and $250,000 on complicated software. And, once you spend that, you then have to pay an "expert" thousands of dollars to properly set it up for you. A virtual event that has spent a ton on software is behind the 8 ball and has to succeed at a high level.
With that in mind, I put my "Simply the Jeff" hat on and came up with this high level approach. It took me an intense hour of thought to distill all of the high level information I could from hosting hundreds of online events. These are the most important steps.
And, I am currently editing the video that shows how to actual implement this step by step. Stay tuned, I will post it online separately.
I realized that a lot of content creators already have their workflow set up to serve them and that reflects how they think. So, why not use their "course creation" superpowers to create a great virtual event? Really, a virtual event is an online course with a live component.

I share how I use Simplero (Simplero.com) in this video. There is absolutely no pressure, but I do have an affiliate link for Simplero:
https://smpl.ro/al/OKVv9v_e/18332-Jeff-Borschowa
I get a few bucks if you sign up with my affiliate link. And, you get a bit of extra support and an extended free trial. Personally, I love the free trial as it gives me time to set up the software and start earning before I pay for it. Anyone who signs up with my affiliate link will get access to a detailed training that I did on Simplero.
