This second part of Jude is a difficult passage. And it's challenging on a moral level. That said we can live in a way that honors God and declines to do evil.

Jude asks his readers to contend for the faith. He wants them to share with others the hope that they have in Jesus. This doesn't mean being contentious. It doesn't mean being defensive. One can contend (defend) and not be defensive at the same time. It wise for us to think about how to share our faith in ways that honor God. 

Faith is something more than just believing the right things about God, or even believing in God.  

• Faith has to have bones. 
• It has to have substance.
• It needs be seen even more than talked about.
