This week on Big Whoop: Macaela Layton played stylist on a shopping trip in Pittsburgh, and I'm finally revealing everything she picked out — full try-on haul, bag count and all. We break down the wheelchair video controversy and catch you up on the billboard. And my mom's hotel customer service call in Peoria might be the most frustrated I've ever been — plus a foot health hack and some genuinely unhinged LARP advice to close it out.
Big thanks to Macaela Layton, who did the actual styling on our Pittsburgh shopping trip — go show her some love: https://www.instagram.com/macaelaelaine/. That shopping day also included her husband Josh, plus our friends Michael and Ashley.

A billboard on a main road near us started running AI-generated images of scantily clad women — and it's sparked a real fight to get it taken down. Abby Swanson and Sam Ritchie, who are leading the pushback, join me to break down what's going on.
Abby Swanson and Sam Ritchie join Big Whoop to explain the billboard, the backlash, and their push to get it removed.
We get into how AI is already reshaping marketing — and whether anyone's actually accountable for what it puts out.
Is this just the new normal, or a sign our guardrails haven't caught up to what AI can do?
As always, we share our thoughts, go off on a few tangents, and have some laughs along the way.

This week on Big Whoop, I’m diving into some strange stories, uncomfortable conversations, and the questions they raise about how we treat each other and how we see the world around us.
Meta glasses create a new kind of public embarrassment.
I question why we sometimes feel the need to tell people “you didn’t do it” when they’re trying to comfort us.
A bizarre wheelchair lift incident leads me into a conversation about fraud, scams, and why people’s BS detectors seem to be getting sharper.
I also get into the Penn State cocaine ring case and the moral comparisons that come with stories like it.
Plus, I reflect on my roots, heritage, and how much history is actually sitting behind us — and, naturally, goats riding a bus in Portland.
As always, I share my thoughts, go off on a few tangents, and have some laughs along the way.

Big Whoop Episode 21 is LIVE!
Hosted by Bradley Oberrieder at Judson University.
In this episode, I sit down once again with Eric Wallor of Signature Popcorn — a family-owned popcorn shop that started in Long Grove, Illinois and relocated to Oldsmar, Florida. I’ve known Eric and the team for about seven years since running Brothers Field right next to his shop in Downtown Long Grove. While I was on vacation in Florida, Eric let me into the shop for a full conversation about what it really takes to launch and run a popcorn business.
We cover everything: how he got into the industry, the wild ups and downs (including rebuilding after a devastating hurricane just months after moving), creating unique flavors, testing crazy ideas like pickle popcorn, becoming the official popcorn partner for breweries, shipping to all 50 states, custom labels for businesses, and what makes their customers the absolute best.
This one is packed with business lessons, behind-the-scenes stories, Florida vs. Illinois insights, and plenty of popcorn talk that’ll make you hungry.
