Bigfoot was living in his barn loft - he shouldn't have gone up there.

He thought he knew, but he discoverd that it wasn't a drifter or a runaway up there in his barn loft - it was a large bigfoot, and it didn't like being disturbed. 

That explained the odd things happening. And he learned - you think you know, but you don't.
