In this personal episode, I share the story of losing my friend Roneill during a difficult period when many of us were experiencing homelessness, instability, and grief.
His death left unanswered questions, and I do not claim to know exactly what happened. What I do know is that losing someone can break you in ways people do not always see—especially when you are already mourning other losses.
This episode is about remembering Roneill, reflecting on how homelessness and hardship can affect mental health, and encouraging people to show love while they still can. Reach out to your family and friends, settle differences when possible, and let the people you care about know they matter.

Why are so many U.S. veterans still fighting for basic support after serving their country?

In this episode, I talk honestly about the growing housing crisis and why having a job no longer guarantees that someone can afford a place to live.
From high rent prices and “three times the rent” income requirements to credit checks, pet restrictions, and limited housing availability, more people are being pushed into extended-stay hotels and homelessness—even while working. I share personal experience with living in extended stays, the impact it has on families and young people, and why we need to rethink what our cities, states, and country prioritize.
This conversation also connects homelessness to mental health during Suicide Awareness Month. People deserve more than surviving paycheck to paycheck or working multiple jobs just to keep a roof over their heads.
