We wrap up 2022 with special guest Bill Brownlee and look back at the year in music. Bill Brownlee is a prolific blogger at There Stands The Glass, a longtime contributor to The Kansas City Star and KCUR 89.3. Through 2022 he’s logged hundreds of new albums that he’s listened to and he spent 125+ nights of 2022 out at shows seeing live music. He’s the biggest music nerd I know and we’re excited to have him on the show this week!
Sarah Bradshaw also joins us this week and we hear selections from these Kanas City musicians: Mister Water Wet, Flora, LeVellebkc, and Matt Villinger’s All Night Trio (featuring Peter Schlamb and Zach B. Morrow).
We also hear from these national and international acts: Rosalía, Moor Mother, Anna Butterss, and a powerful one from Kae Tempest (featuring Lianne La Havas).
Additionally, this show wraps up our EIGHTH year of the Eight One Sixty, it’s our 417th show! I wanted to say THANK YOU so much to everyone that has tuned in and listened and to everyone at The Bridge for helping make this show happen - cheers everybody!
