SickKids has updated its school guidance document. It says in-person school with infection prevention and a testing strategy is the best option for all children. But "keeping schools open safely will be facilitated by lowering rates of community transmission."
Among the updates: Physical distancing is difficult to enforce in KG and younger elementary school children, "and is likely detrimental to their well-being." So SickKids recommends a cohorting strategy and consideration of masking in high-incidence regions.
