We, the children of God, have an angel or saint inside of us. The Father lavishes His love on us and we can lavish our love on others. Most importantly, we are the adopted sons and daughters of God. Are you showing your angel or saint to others?

Some marks left on us are lasting. Life leaves scars on each of us. None of us are perfect and we all share brokenness. However, we also share Jesus and Christian fellowship.

He is Risen!! Happylujah! Celebrate Christ's Triumph over the prison of death. Break out and fly into life with Christ. He is Risen Indeed!!

Palm Sunday - FUMC has been celebrating the parade of palms for over 130 years on and from this corner. It is a day for salvation's army to parade. On the first Palm Sunday where did the parade go and where did it end?: It starts with a triumph which leads to a tragedy and it ends in the triumph of the Resurrection.

A father's love is needed by each one of us. In the Prodigal parable, Jesus was painting a portrait of a loving God. Jesus called God "Abba" meaning Daddy. God is love. God loves us enough to let us go. We are free to choose. God is a patient father who waits for us to decide.

Older children want to please their parents. Younger children not so much. What was the older son's reaction to the younger son's return? What was the older son's offense? Is the older son, not the younger son, the real object of Jesus' parable? Is the older son just as lost as the younger son? Is it possible to forgive someone if you feel superior to him or her?

The Younger Son can hit close to home. Life was all about him but in his new life he became lost. Some return home but some become lost and stay lost. God's arms are extended for us to come home. God is waiting with grace and His grace is sufficient.

Luke 15 contains the lost parables - the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son. Sheep get lost by nibbling their way away. Being lost can be from being neglected like a key or a coin. Or we can become lost by our own - me and my - desires. Jesus searches for the lost and when the lost is found he throws a celebration.

Transfiguration Sunday - We try to shine with our own light but we can only shine with the light of Christ. The Light of the World is Jesus. The Light was meant to be reflected each day in your life and mine. Does your life reflect His love, grace and mercy?

Why should skin divide us? Jesus healed the leper even though lepers were social and religious outcasts. Jesus reached out and touched the leper. Jesus put his skin in the game. Jesus was committed. Jesus showed his compassion. But, was Jesus also angry about this situation surrounding the leper? Listen and learn.
