Everybody wants the quick bag.
The overnight success.
The viral hit.
But God ain’t in the microwave He’s in the crock pot.
In this episode of Billionaire Discipleship™, we break down one of the most overlooked contrasts in Scripture: Saul vs. David. One king popped off fast. The other cooked slow. One got the crown quick. The other waited years. Only one built a legacy that lasted.
Using street perspective + biblical truth, we connect ancient Scripture to modern hustle culture fast money, shortcuts, disobedience, patience, development, and stewardship. If you’ve ever been tempted by the quick flip, the fast lane, or the easy way out, this episode will challenge your mindset and realign your purpose.
This isn’t about religion it’s about formation.
Not hype legacy.
Not quick success trusted stewardship.
🔑 Key Topics Covered
• Saul’s overnight anointing vs. David’s 15-year wait
• Why quick come-ups often lead to fragile futures
• How disobedience killed Saul’s legacy
• Why God develops the man before He delivers the throne
• Street hustle vs. Kingdom preparation
• How patience, struggle, and obedience compound over time

In today’s episode, we dive into fire-tested faith, impossible dreams, and the kind of belief that stands strong even when the odds say you shouldn’t make it.
I talk about a dream that some people think is impossible touching $100 billion before I leave this earth. Not for flexing, but for impact. For stewardship. For the projects, the tools, and the resources that could change lives for generations. The goal isn’t just wealth… it’s legacy. I only want to pass on $10 billion across the next 100 generations, creating $100M dividends for every child in every generation.
Because money is a tool. God is the source.
People look at where I came from and say the dream is impossible. But God already said it’s done walk in His name. Because faith is walking like it’s finished even when it looks like it hasn’t even started.
I break down the real definitions of impossible and faith, and why I refuse to live small when I serve a big God. And I keep it a buck… there’s a chance I don’t hit 100 billion. The odds are stacked. But whether I touch 100B, 1B, or 1M, I will still serve and follow the Lord. What started as chasing money became cultivating a relationship with God and creating this powerful blend of business and Christ.
The money is just the tool.
The transformation is His.
We also talk about the furnace moments the times the enemy tries to use the fire to destroy you, but God uses that same fire to reveal you. Reveal the growth you still need. Reveal the habits that needed to die. Reveal how you treat your wife, how you love your family, how you lead your home.
All of it comes out in the fire.
I walk through the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3 — the original “if not, I still believe” warriors. They said:
“The God we serve is able to deliver us… but even if He does not, we will not serve your gods.”
That’s real faith. That’s fire faith. That’s the mindset that inspires me to step into my own flames.
And what’s wild is how the story ends: they walked out without ash, without burns, without even the smell of smoke. That’s the level of transformation Christ brings. He’ll rewrite your story so good, people can’t even smell where you came from.
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
So here’s the question I leave you with until the next episode:
The furnace tested their faith, but the fire revealed their God. Will your faith set the temperature in your life… or will the impossible make you fold?

🔥 Episode Summary
Everybody wants overnight success, but nobody talks about the years in the dark that come before the spotlight.
In this episode, I sit down and talk like I’m talking to Katherine — real, raw, and honest — about why we chase fast success, and why God intentionally delays it.
Acts 2 shows the early church exploding from zero to 3,000 in one day, but what we don’t see is the years of preparation, obedience, struggle, and faithfulness that led up to that moment. Same thing with your calling, your business, your purpose. The “viral moment” is never the full story.
We break down:
•Why society is addicted to instant results
•How social media convinces us success is easy
•Why God protects you by delaying your breakthrough
•The difference between self-confidence vs self-worth
•How to turn weaknesses into weapons (Paul, Beethoven, and more)
•Real business stories: Kevin Plank (Under Armour), Jamie Kern Lima (IT Cosmetics)
This episode is a reminder:
God doesn’t do microwave blessings — He slow cooks greatness.
⸻
🔥 Key Takeaways
1. Overnight Success Is a Myth
People only see the Acts 2 moment, not the sacrifice before it.
Social media shows highlights, not the years of grinding, waiting, and failing.
2. God’s Delay = Protection
“If God gave me success when I wanted it, it would’ve destroyed me.”
Sometimes the thing you’re praying for would crush you if you got it too early.
3. Kevin Plank’s Story
Founder of Under Armour → broke, grinding, sleeping on couches, risking the last $16K he had
Revenue went from:
•$17K → $100K → nearly $400K
But none of it was “instant.”
He literally couldn’t pay a $2 toll on the way home from a business trip.
“Success doesn’t usually find you on your own schedule.”
4. Your Weakness Can Be a Weapon
Paul’s thorn.
Beethoven going deaf and creating his greatest work afterward.
Weakness doesn’t disqualify you — it positions you.
5. Self-Worth vs Self-Confidence (Jamie Kern Lima)
•Self-confidence = external
•Self-worth = internal identity
You can’t achieve your way into worthiness.
You have to believe God’s word more than your own thoughts.
“Are the people around you a circle or a cage?”
6. The God Flip
God grows you underground before He grows you in public.
Every “delay,” every “failure,” every “slow season” = preparation.
⸻
🔥 Scriptures Used
Acts 2:41 — 3,000 added in one day
Galatians 6:9 — Don’t get weary, harvest is coming
Habakkuk 2:3 — “Though the vision tarry, wait for it…”
⸻
🔥 God Bar of the Episode
“Overnight success is just the highlight reel of 10 years in the dark.”
⸻
🔥 Challenge to the Listener
Before you ask God for the spotlight, ask Him to strengthen your roots.
Would you actually be ready if the success you’re praying for dropped on you today?

Welcome back to Billionaire Discipleship™ where building wealth, street wisdom, and serving Christ collide but never divide.
In this episode, Jerry Butler Jr. (@BillionaireDiscipleship) breaks down what it really means to “load up spiritually.”
We’re flipping Ephesians 6:17 “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” into a modern-day street perspective called “The Bullets of the Spirit.”
When the Word is your weapon, every verse becomes ammo. 🔥
In the streets, range determines power but in the Spirit, range comes from routine.
Reading daily, praying daily, practicing silence, Sabbath, and solitude that’s your spiritual magazine.
📖 Ephesians 6:17 reminds us:
“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Jerry draws deep parallels between ancient spiritual warfare and modern struggles showing how Jesus Himself fired back at temptation with Scripture. Whether you’re from the block, the boardroom, or just trying to walk closer with God, this episode reminds you: you don’t need the biggest weapon, just the right ammo.
💭 Key Talking Points
•What “Bullets of the Spirit” really means and how it flips Ephesians 6:17
•Why your Bible reading habit builds your range in spiritual warfare
•The link between consistency, scripture, and confidence under pressure
•Jesus’ response to temptation as “rapid-fire” scripture warfare
•Why “untrained shooters” = believers without daily discipline
•The difference between small weapons + big faith
•Why you don’t need a big platform just the right spiritual ammo
🔥 Power Quotes
“The Word ain’t paper it’s pieces in my strap.”
“You don’t need the biggest gun, just the right ammo.”
“A loaded weapon in the hands of the untrained hits friends, not foes.”
“Every verse you memorize is a bullet ready to fire back at the enemy.”
