This week we’re recapping a Night Vale episode full of wood carving and excellent horoscopes, but first we wanted to mention the week’s events.
What can you say about the past week? It sucked, obviously. A man was murdered by the police, and since nobody wanted to listen when someone took a knee, now things are much, much louder. Binary System is on the side of the protesters (and we believe the looting is the fault of instigators who have no loyalty to the Black Lives Matter movement) and supports the end of systematic racism in this country. (Head to this post to see ways you can help.)
But if you’re looking to mentally escape from **gestures wildly and emphatically at everything** we also talk about Lore Olympus, The Shining, comfort TV, and conspiracy theories that are more fun than scary.
This week’s outro is a clip from Black Love by The Easton Ellises. (Yes the title's a little on the nose for this week, but we liked the song, and the sentiment stands.) https://freemusicarchive.org/music/The_Easton_Ellises/Black_Love/03_the_easton_ellises_-_black_love__instrumental
