So while we'd like to say something glib about the state of the world (global pandemic, political dumpster fire, quickly escalating international conflict) it just doesn't seem like something we can joke about? So we're going to go watch some cartoons instead.

Between the two of us we've seen all the Oscar-nominated animated shorts, and we both finally watched Encanto, so we're talking about everything we loved (or disliked, or really disliked) about all of them. Plus we throw in a bonus animated short from 2019, and discuss whether or not it's possible to throw together a good steampunk mask in 29 days. (It is. - Kathryn.) (IT ISN'T. - Elizabeth.)
