This episode originally broadcast on March 19, the original podcast post is here: https://pixelatedgeek.com/2026/03/binary-system-podcast-498-wtnv-284-harrison-kips-twilight-gospel-hour/
Cecil and Night Vale Radio both get a break this week (aside from a couple of Station ID's and a long list of "supporters"). Instead, we hear the soothing tones of Harrison Kip as he gives the listeners a little taste of his weird religion with a not-really-well-defined god, and some oddly specific commandments. (Look, I'll go along with the "no forks" rule, since chopsticks are still a thing, but I'll give up my mason jars repurposed into drinking glasses when hell freezes over.)
After the recap we reveal the surprising news that Beastars is back! (Well, it was surprising to us anyway. Don't look to this podcast for breaking news because we're way behind the curve.) We also talk a little about the results of this year's Oscar winners, some weirdness from the Comic-Con administration, and how our taste in classic anime can be summed up as "whatever was available to rent at Blockbuster Video in the 90's."
This episode's outro is a clip from Spiral Flight by TeknoAXE.
Correction: the day before this podcast aired we FINALLY got word from Comic-Con that we're approved for WonderCon passes. Nothing like waiting till the week before the convention to find out, wow.
It can be really easy to slip into doom and despair at the state of the world right now, but there are things you can do to help. Check out Stand With Minnesota for links to fundraisers and other ways you can show your support. If we haven't made it abundantly clear where we stand on this, FUCK ICE.
Looking for a present for that hard-to-shop-for person? Want to buy them (or yourself) a square foot of a castle in Scotland? Look no further! You can support the restoration of Dunan's castle, legally call yourself Lady or Laird, AND if you use this link to get there, you can support this podcast too! ScottishLaird.co.uk.
