This time we're geeking out over the "USS Callister," and then talking a little about our latest obsession, the crafting reality show "Making It".

Correction: We managed to get the main antagonist's name wrong on this one: it's actually Robert Daly, and NOT "Ryan." And we did it consistently throughout the ENTIRE episode. We also mangled the character Shania's name a few times, and we didn't even refer to a few of the characters by their names AT ALL. Sorry to all involved, we're bad with names.

Yes, Binary System has now reached full meta status. This week the Welcome To Night Vale recap podcast is recapping the first episode of the podcast that's recapping the first episode of the Welcome To Night Vale podcast. Read that sentence through a few more times; it won't make any more sense, but isn't it glorious?

After that we wander into Transformers (and how we love the IDW series but we're getting a little tired of all the homework you have to do to understand what's going on) and Adam Warren's Empowered, and cosplay plans for San Diego Comic-Con.

We had a technical snafu about 3/4ths of the way through and had to switch to the backup recording, sorry for the slightly tinny sound.

This week's episode of Alice Isn't Dead asked us the question: where would you put a modern-day oracle to talk in riddles while creating a rift in time and space? Why, in a Denny's of course. (And it works really, really well.)

We also talked about what is and isn't the definition of "racist" and what is and isn't part of the North when you're talking about the Civil War (do not mess this up or you'll break your Southern Granny's heart.)

We also touched on Disney's Coco, the new Tag movie, Hannah Gadsby's Nanette special (thanks to Hannah Wallace for recommending it) and why being horrible at history is good if you don't want to be spoiled when watching Narcos.

(If you're not sure what's going on, listen to the episodes "A Story About You" and "A Story About Them". You still won't know what's going on after that, but those are pretty good episodes.)

After that we do the usual potpourri of topics, jumping from Twin Peaks to Patrick Melrose, to our minor connection to a Hollywood screenwriter, to Vampire Diaries' version of "The Red Wedding," and then a couple quick thoughts on the series finale of Sense8. (Which Elizabeth didn't like, but she understands that some of the fans really, really did.)

After the recap we talk about how Elizabeth can't get judgey about Kathryn not seeing Infinity War yet, because Elizabeth hasn't seen anything else.
