Rationalization is one of man’s most clever and most dangerous inventions. Night Vale has a vampire in town. Well, had, anyway. In this week’s episode Cecil talks about Luca and his long, long life. It’s a story about mistaking “comfortable” for “happy”. It’s about being okay with getting older, and learning to love the life...

With no Night Vale or Lore Olympus this week (T-minus 73 days till the next free episode of Lore Olympus YES WE’RE OBSESSED WE’RE NOT SORRY) we actually took the time to catch up on our backlog of nerd content instead of rewatching Arcane and the Try Channel. (…okay we caught up on nerd content...

There was a car crash on Buellton Avenue… Okay, you know what? We’re not exactly sure who this week’s recap is for. If you want a twisty, creepy, very-close-to-horror story with a sting in its tail then you really need to go listen to the latest Night Vale episode so we don’t give away the...

With no Lore Olympus or Night Vale this week, it was a perfect opportunity to get caught up on Star Wars, Marvel, and Good Omens. We of course did none of that and watched a horror movie from last year instead. NO ONE IS SURPRISED. Heads up for great big spoilers as we discuss M3GAN,...

Hooray, everything’s back to “normal” in Night Vale! Science is legal again, the Weather is back, Dr. Janet Lubelle is…not technically gone from the city, but it’s fine. Lately it feels like everything we love is on hiatus: Night Vale, Lore Olympus, Saga, it’s all on break. So that means we’ve got time to go watch some of the amazing movies that’ve come out lately, right? AHAHAHA no of course not, we’re terrible at movies. Instead we’re wading through Book of Boba Fett...

It’s a short episode this week, since Elizabeth had a great time at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and she’s really tired. And also Kathryn is still bad at TV and is only averaging one new episode of anything per week. Listen in as Elizabeth gives the details on her time at SDCC: the best...

So here’s the thing you guys: Lore Olympus is on hiatus. Right now. There will be no free episodes for four months. There are a few fast-pass episodes though. The forward-thinking, grown up, delayed gratification thing to do would be to wait till Thanksgiving to read them when they’re free and AHAHAHAHAH. Lordy no. We...

Fair warning, the second episode of Lore Olympus that we review this week ends in a cliffhanger. It’s not one that made us rush to fast-pass more episodes though, since it only involves Kronos. We’ve got our priorities, and the mad former tyrant is gonna have to take a back seat to finding out if...

Welcome to the first Vacation Edition of 2023! Recording on location in a tropical resort (otherwise known as our sister’s old room in our parents’ place) with state of the art equipment (Elizabeth’s phone balanced on a pillow) and atmospheric sound effects (paper rustling, squeaky chairs, and the cat jumping on the bed), it’s nothing...
