Binary System Podcast

We know you thought the Binary System Podcast was made up of calm, thoughtful people, capable of discussing things in a composed, professional manner. That is, if you’ve never listened to an episode before. Tune in as the twins lose their $h*t over Sherlock and StarWars: Rogue One. Loudly. With much squeeing.Read OnBinary System Podcast #65 – Sherlock and Rogue One

No new episode of Welcome To Night Vale this week. And the classic episode the Night Vale producers decided to air…isn’t one of our favorites.

SO, this week the twins decided to just kick back and talk about books they’ve finished, TV shows they’re watching, and some of the geeky Christmas presents we received. (Yes, our parents are still buying us comic books and Transformers toys. No, we don’t have a bit of shame about that.) Listen in as the conversation jumps from Mr. Robot to Sherlock (no spoilers) to Transformers with swords and why they’re so cool.Read OnBinary System Podcast #64: Happy (Geeky) New Year!

It’s here! The one-hundredth episode of Welcome to Night Vale! It was amazing! And not what we were expecting!

(Seriously, if after 100 episodes this show can still surprise us, that means they’re doing it right.)

Listen in as the twins recap a Very Special Episode of Night Vale, and then discuss Netflix’s The OA (meh), The Night Manager (we’ve got Nathan watching it!), Mr. Robot (c’mon amazon, post season two to the Prime queue), Walking Dead (good job on the mid-season hiatus, AMC, you had us worried there) and Rogue One (no spoilers, partly because we wouldn’t do that to you and mostly because Kathryn hasn’t seen it yet.)

Also, Merry whateverholidayyou’recelebrating!Read OnBinary System Podcast #63 – WTNV #100 – Toast

This week, intern Kareem is dealing with some family issues in his hometown Mitchigan. Mmmitcchigan. Mmisshtigan. Mishhigan. Mishhtigan. Okay we can’t quite get the pronunciation right, but it’s that state right between OhHEEoh and Canada. Kareem’s worried that his Mom sounds a little different in her latest letters. Nothing big, she just seems to think her son Kareem is still at home, so she doesn’t know who this total stranger is who keeps sending her letters. You know, the usual family stuff.Read OnBinary System Podcast #62 – WTNV #99 “Michigan”

Not much going on over here in BSP land. Except for the fact that Kathryn has FINALLY seen the Doctor Strange movie!!

Listen in as the twins fangirl about Benedict Cumberbatch and his adorable cape. Then they discuss the box office figures of the best Marvel movies, and then talk about the effects and choreography in Doctor Strange. They mention the Night Vale touring show, and then a graphic novel Kathryn found. About Doctor Strange. It’s one of THOSE kinds of episodes.Read OnBinary System Podcast #61 – Doctor Strange

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! (Or, if you’re not celebrating Thanksgiving, happy Thursday.) Want to kill some time while the turkey’s baking? Need to while away the minutes in the car? Want to get away from the holiday cheer with some good old fashioned negativity? We’re here to help! Presenting the first-ever Binary System Crapfest! In an attempt to keep all our complaints and judgeyness contained in one place (…which totally will not work…) we’re ranting about as many things as we can cram into a half hour, and no more than two minutes per rant. What makes our list of things we hate? Listen in to find out!

With one caveat: No. Politics.Read OnBSP #60 – The Binary System Crapfest

We just listened to the latest Welcome To Night Vale episode and holy cow. Holy COW. Okay everybody, let’s put spoiler warning on right up front. This is the episode when Hiram McDaniels is scheduled for execution, and things happen in this one. There’s an awful lot that won’t ever be the same, and there’s going to be consequences, that’s for damn sure.

Short episode this week as the twins reel from the latest developments in Night Vale. And just in case everyone hasn’t had enough negativity over the last month, we’re also gearing up for our inaugural Crap Fest episode next week.Read OnBinary System Podcast #59, WTNV #98 “Flight”

This week we listen in as Old Woman Josie tells us a little more about herself, her life with, ahem, “angels,” her love of music (even when it was illegal) and her daughter from the strange land of Ocklahwhama.Read OnBinary System Podcast #58 – WTNV Episode 97 “Josefina”
