With award season nearing, artists are trying to fit in the last of their promotions—making October a busy month for comebacks! Bingu & Choom narrow down the month's releases to their top favorites, and there's both familiar names like Monsta X's Kihyun and Stray Kids, as well as some new faces to the list, like CLASS:y and WEi!
K-Dramas have always been a very popular global piece of media, especially because in comparison to America TV shows where multiple writers and producers work together to tell a story—there's typically only one person involved for Korean dramas, which helps depict a very specific tone. With a vast array of different genres, there's typically always something for everyone to watch if you dig a little deeper. But in recent years, Choom has begun to notice that K-Dramas seem to be getting really intense—even for the more typical romance genres. For this episode, she dug a little deeper into her watched list to pick some of her favorite intense dramas, as well as recommends some newer dramas that completely threw her for a loop with some surprise elements.
Were you a fan of the most recent 90s-themed Netflix movie released, "20th Century Girl"? Well, so was Choom! After its release, "20th Century Girl" rapidly gained love from across the globe due to its nostalgic feel mixed with high school characters and the perfectly told bittersweet love story, despite the heartbreaking ending. In this episode, Choom recommends some similarly-themed K-Dramas and movies for anyone who might be in search of another piece of media to admire the old school aesthetics of, including some popular titles such as "Twenty Five, Twenty One" and some extremely popular releases such as "Architecture 101."

In this episode, she discusses her favorite K-Dramas watched (so far) from the first half of the year—the list is small (because watching dramas takes a lot of time) but includes a few popular names like Alchemy of Souls, Big Mouth, Business Proposal, and more!

Cancel culture is a bandwagon phenomenon that has become popular in the last 10-20 years. While the so called "movement" is well-known worldwide, some can argue that it's fairly prominent in K-Pop and fandom culture. But is cancel culture a real thing? And where should one draw the line at cancelling a real, living person versus simply helping them learn from their mistakes? Bingu and Choom delve into their opinions on cancel culture, touching on familiar idols such as B.I, Wonho, Soojin, Park Bom, Jay Park, and more and their situations.
Choom is catching up on Korean dramas from the summer, which also means trying to catch up on some reviews from over the summer she wanted to do! In this episode, Choom gives her final thoughts on the drama Why Her?, also known as Why Oh Soo Jae? But basically, this entire experience turned into the question of: Why me? Be prepared, because the final verdict isn't the best... but if you're looking for a strong female lead, stick around until the end for some recommendations!
K-Pop has been around for quite some time now, and in the early days of Bingu & Choom's K-Pop fangirl era, a distant mention of sasaeng fans were often an issue that popped up as something of a horror to the imagination—why would anyone want to stalk their favorite idol? But with time, more stories arose and revealed sasaeng fans to be a huge issue in K-Pop. In this episode, Bingu & Choom dive into a discussion on what sasaeng fans are, some of the most common obsessive actions they partake in, and how sasaeng culture has shifted from 2014 to 2022.
Summer comeback season has come to an end and is slowly starting to ease into the fall comebacks, darker concepts, and moodier sounds. Bingu & Choom aren't complaining, but there were certainly a handful of great August comebacks to choose from! From favorites like The Boyz, Wonho, Twice, and Key to newer favorites like IVE and DKB—August was a mix of calmer summer tracks without as much boisterous noise to nostalgic sounds, and Bingu & Choom discuss what they liked and disliked about some of their personal best choices of the month.
