We discuss the beginning steps in training a bird dog, starting with puppy selection and some tips on getting a few commands started early that have been successful for us in the past.  We also discuss some lessons learned with mistakes we've made in the past, how to adapt training techniques to your dog, and the importance of bird exposure and repetition.
