Our work/life balance has never been more pivotal.

The essence of 'Birdie Business' is to reinforce that message.

Diverse business topics will be discussed, counter-balanced by a focus on golf, an endeavour that Mark Twain somewhat bizarrely described as 'a good walk spoiled'. Strange man!

The cocktail has served Jason White well for many years, and he commends it to all.

In this episode, Jason talks to Malcolm Eustace - County Secretary to the Staffs Union of Golf Clubs

Plenty to get into with this conversation, with lots of ground being covered; such as the way that golf is trying to cater to a wider range of people than every before, why you should be asking more of your local golf club - and what the future is for so many local golf clubs in England.

Episode 1 sheds light on the environment and IEMA's endeavours to secure a sustainable future.

IEMA CEO, Sarah Mukherjee, is Birdie Business' special guest, and pulls no punches as she spells out that the clock is ticking.

Sarah, who is the former BBC Environment Correspondent, also talks candidly about what it was like as person of colour growing up on a council estate in Essex.

It is fascinating listen.
