The Birdies & Bourbon team chat with Golf Magazine's Top 100 Golf Teacher Jon Tattersall on the golf swing, fitness, tour players, tips for the amateur player, how important is the driver and how will the PGA players perform at RBC Heritage.
Jon is originally from North West England and came to America in 1988 to work as an Assistant golf professional for the legendary Buck Adams at CCNC in Pinehurst.
In 1998 Jon moved to Atlanta, GA to open a learning center with GOLF Magazine Top 100 instructor and ABC commentator Gary Smith.
In 2007 Jon co-founded Fusion ATL a sports performance facility designed to capture performance data and develop training protocols for the ardent golfer. In addition, the the certified staff provide services from physical therapy to performance strength training.
With a philosophy that says, "Why guess when you can measure", Jon is an early adopter of technology. He is an expert at using tools such as Trackman and Foresight launch monitors, and 3D from AMM, MAT and K-Vest.
Jon and his team have worked with a winner of The Open Championship and with PGA Tour players who have won the Vardon Trophy and the Korn Ferry Player of the Year distinction, LPGA and European Tour winners, as well as members of Ryder Cup, President Cup and Solheim Cup teams.
