Rebecca came into Made for More during last February’s round — right at the beginning of her first year going out on her own as a freelance marketing consultant after years of working for other organizations. From the outside, she had everything it takes — vast expertise, a track record, and a clear vision for what she wanted to build.

And yet she was carrying familiar stories — don’t brag, put your head down and do the work. What if the next paycheck doesn’t come? What if wanting that much means something is wrong with you?

What shifted wasn’t a new business strategy. It was something that moved in her body.

In this conversation Rebecca shares what it actually felt like to do this work — including the moment in the chaos and clarity practice (the same one we’re sharing tomorrow for paid subscribers) where something cracked open for her. How clarity, for her, turned out not to be having all the answers mapped out — but trusting that she had the wisdom to figure it out as it came. She also shares something she’s only recently been able to say without the caveat attached: she had the best financial year of her life in her very first year of being fully on her own. Full stop.

And she did it while navigating one of the hardest things she’s ever been through — a major medical emergency mid-year that turned an ER visit into surgery and a months-long recovery. She’ll tell you herself that the somatic work is a big part of why she came out the other side without carrying it in her body.

I love highlighting community stories like this because I know what it feels like to have the hitch, to want more and feel the body contract. And I know how much it means to hear someone else say — I felt that too, but look what happened next.

In today’s episode of Birthing the New I’m sharing a story I haven’t fully told before. It’s about a season in my business where the offers were good, the marketing was solid, and nothing was landing. Again and again and again. And what I finally had to reckon with when I picked up the mirror.

Money is always in the conversation in my world — inside my containers, inside client sessions, inside the quiet moments where women finally say the thing they’ve been afraid to say out loud.

And it makes sense, right? Because money is so loaded. We grow up hearing “Money doesn’t grow on trees. Money is the root of all evil. You can’t want that kind of money.” The old paradigm has a lot to say.

But at the core money is a tool. Money is energy exchange. Money is currency. And you want it — not because you’re greedy, not because you’re selfish, not because you’re too much — but because there are big things you want to do. For the world. For your family. For yourself. Money is how we take care of those things.

So why does it still feel like you can’t hold more of it?

The thing that blocks us from receiving and holding more money isn’t a strategy problem. It’s not that you need a better funnel or a more organized launch plan or one more course on how to sell.

It’s a conflicting desire. Living in your body.

You say yes, I want more — and somewhere deep down, something in you says but...

I know this because it happened to me. Again. Even after 10, 11 years in business. Even while teaching this exact work.

Aries season already carries the energy of a beginning — it’s the first sign of the zodiac, the spark before the flame, the inhale before the leap. And since it’s the first new moon since the astrological new year, the New Moon in Aries is inviting you to reset within the reset.

Aries is the sign that rules initiation, desire, and the courage to simply begin. The ram doesn’t deliberate. It doesn’t ask for permission or soften its edges to make others more comfortable. It moves toward what it wants — and for just a little while that energy is available to all of us.

So this new moon, we’re not just setting intentions. We’re going back to the most foundational questions there are:

Who am I, right now, in this version of my life?

What do I actually want?

Not what you wanted last year. Not what looks good on paper. Not the edited, palatable version you’d share in a room full of people or in a newsletter update. The real thing. The tender, fiery, unfiltered thing.

For this ritual, you’ll need:

-About 20 minutes in a quiet, private space

-A journal and something to write with

-A candle

Something red — a crystal, an object, or a red candle — to call in the energy of Aries and its ruler, Mars

Light your candle. Set your red object beside it. Let this time be just for you.

And let yourself want things.

After you’ve sat with the ritual — how are you feeling? Take some time to reflect on what surfaced and let yourself continue to write for as long as it feels good.

Full moons are points of culmination, illumination, and release — and this one falls in Libra, the sign of the scales. In this ritual we’re using that energy to pause, look inward, and ask: how am I truly doing right now?

This ritual includes a guided video, a breathing meditation, and a vessel check-in — a wellness wheel inspired by the houses of astrology that invites you to assess the different areas of your life not for perfect “balance,” but for the harmony that’s right for your current season. Because balance isn’t 50/50. Different seasons call for different ingredients, different amounts.
