Bishop Luis Rafael delivers the homily at the Deacon Convocation Mass on February 24th at Saint Michael The Archangel Parish in Cary.  Every year, deacons and their wives gather as a community for Morning Prayer, Mass, fellowship, and lunch with the Bishop.

On March 18, 16 men were instituted as lectors as part of their ongoing formation as deacons.  Bishop Luis Rafael delivered the homily at Mass.

Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama gave the homily at a Mass celebrating Catholic Schools Week at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh.  This was one of many school visits Bishop Zarama made last week to talk to both students and faculty and to share his appreciation.

On January 13th at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral, Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama gave the homily at the annual Diocese of Raleigh Mass for Life.  This Mass is intended to gather the faithful of the diocese together to celebrate and promote a pro-life culture.  Then those in attendance are sent out to participate in the local Raleigh March for Life in downtown Raleigh.
