Title: Less oxygen, more possibilities
Description: Our project stems from the idea of biological hydrogen production and nitrogen fixation. It is found that hydrogenase and nitrogenase have the oxygen paradox. In response to this problem, we propose to construct a system called Oxygen Hunter to maintain an intracellular hypoxic environment and normal metabolism. Therefore, leg hemoglobin was selected to enrich oxygen to the respiratory site, and laccase catalyzed oxygen reduction to water. We decided to compare its effect, so we chose an anaerobic promoter-connected fluorescent protein to detect oxygen concentration and oxygen consumption rate. We hope to introduce application components for the biological production of reducing products, combined nitrogen fixation, hydrogen production, and reduction of organic matter and carbon dioxide, and can provide a low oxygen environment to promote the reduction of biomass as energy products.
