  • Episode 18: Children of the Corn

We all love corn, and back in 1984 in the made up town Gatlin, Nebraska there was a reign of terror that involved corn, kids and a cult - what a combo!
Alas it was not a documentary on the delicious triple butter microwave popcorn, but a group of kids who killed every adult in town.

Was it a corny old movie, was it popping with jump scares, and did we soak it up like classic cinema popcorn soaks up butter? Listen in to find out.

  • Episode 17: The Final Girls

A movie within a movie! The Final Girls can be described as a slasher horror wrapped up nicely in a teen comedy romance, and boy oh boy does that equal a delightful 92 minutes.

The movie features every stereotypical character you can think of, from the douchebag sex crazed male to the ditzy peppy female and we’ve both got our faves.

Did we love movie-ception? Did it leave us wanting more? Listen in to find out!

  • Episode 16: Midsommar

A rural town, a midsommar festival, matching white clothing and plenty of hallucinations.
Midsommar is undoubtably a stunning movie, but a horror? We'll be the judge of that.
Listen up as we chat about cults, flowers, cloudy drinks and hairy pies in a very honest review of Ari Aster's 2019 movie Midsommar.

  • Episode 15: Jennifer's Body

Adam Brody as a indie band lead singer... Need we say more?
But seriously, Jennifer's Body was deemed a flop in 2009 and now it's hailed as a cult classic. Wanna find out why? Tune in as we discuss a star studded production with an amazing soundtrack and fabulous special effects featuring chocolate syrup.

  • Episode 12: Wounds

If you browse through reviews of the 2019 Netflix movie Wounds you'll see comments from 'highly unsettling' through to 'oh dear' and even 'WTF'.

There's cockroaches, a bar fight, occult books and yes even a love story. Seems like a good mix, but we'll be the judge of that. Will we have a tiny hand high five at the end of it? Tune in to find out what we think and what tiny hands have to do with it all.

  • Episode 11: Candyman (1992)

Candyman is coming back to town later this year with a new release so we thought what better time then now to review the original! It's the classic tale of a local superstition, say his name five times in the mirror and he'll appear and kill you with his hook hand - why on earth anyone would want to do that we don't know but hey, it makes for a good horror storyline.

Join us as we explore a housing project in Chicago, a pile of candy with razorblades hidden inside, the most horrifying toilets we've ever seen and some kick ass graffiti!

PS. It's iso time and we couldn't record like we usually do, so apologies for the quality. It'll be better next time! We'll say 'good quality audio' five times in the mirror before we begin.

  • Episode 10: Cabin Fever (2002)

An infectious disease, a quarantine shed and an absolute disregard for personal space. Welcome to Cabin Fever! An early 2000's tale that follows five college kids who head into the woods for a secluded getaway in a cabin (Side note - that's always a bad idea) but find they're welcomed by a flesh-eating virus that runs rampant through the group.

So come on down and sit by the campfire as we roast marshmallows, reminisce on what the world was like before lockdown and imagine a place where dogs are doctors. (Take a listen, you'll see what we mean)
