Data centres have been at the heart of our homes, businesses and communities as the world made a dramatic shift online in 2020. These “digital factories” are the backbone of an Irish economy defying expectations thanks to robust computer service exports. Yet, misconceptions abound and flourish into tall tales that mask the important role data centres play in our everyday lives.
