There is no room for bitterness in the family of God. Respond with forgiveness rather than react with bitterness. “We must cease our bitterness” (Eph 4:31). Bitterness is self-absorption and defiles and infects others. Bitter people have few friends because no one wants to be around a bitter person. “A stranger cannot share in the joy of your bitterness” (Prov 14:10). Bitterness is a mental attitude sin. Confess it to God, isolate it (so it doesn’t become chain sinning), and move on in your spiritual life. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
