Cultural decay reveals the problem; Jesus Christ offers new life.

Paul warned Timothy about behaviors that would characterize difficult times: self-love, greed, arrogance, disobedience, ingratitude, hardheartedness, slander, lack of self-control, and the pursuit of pleasure rather than God. These behaviors reveal what happens when people reject God's authority and follow the desires of the flesh. But Scripture also provides the answer: through faith in Jesus Christ, a person becomes a new creation with a new priority and a new way of life.

What You'll Learn:

• How 2 Timothy 3 describes the progression of cultural and moral decline

• Why rejection of God's authority leads to self-deception and self-destruction

• How hardness of heart and scar tissue can affect a person's thinking and behavior

• Why Christians must continue doing good even when good is despised

• How salvation through Jesus Christ produces a new creation and a new priority
