You must be spiritually born to receive eternal life. “Unless one is born of water [physical birth] and born of Spirit [born again through faith alone in Christ alone] he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). This second birth is a simple act of faith. “He who believes in Him [the Lord Jesus Christ] is not judged” (John 3:18). You will either be born twice or die twice. Unbelievers, those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, will die the second death, will be condemned to the Lake of Fire, and tormented forever.

God speaks to you through His Word. When you learn it, the Word of God will clarify your thinking, and give you absolute direction in your life so that you know what it is God wants you to do. Take your time and let the Word of God counsel you. You don't have to be in a hurry. If you do not stop and determine God's directive will for your life, then you are probably going to step out of His plan.

Arrogance is a complex of sins, meaning it isn't just one sin, but many sins. It is an attitude of the soul. Arrogance manifests as an unrealistic self-image—the delusion that you're smarter than God. 

“Fools make a mockery of sin, but among the righteous there is favor.” In Lamentations 3:25, “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul that seeks Him.” (Prov 14:9)

“Don't forget my teaching, let your heart keep my mandates and they will provide length of years to your life and peace they will add to you.” (Prov 3:1-2)

Adversity is inevitable but stress is optional. Adversity is what circumstances do to you, but stress is what you do to yourself. God has a perfect plan for you and if you will learn the plan and use the plan, you won’t be anxious, worried, or afraid—you will have complete self-confidence and happiness in the plan of God.

Your soul has a consciousness and that consciousness has norms and standards. Biblical norms and standards are called wisdom. God's wisdom comes from learning His Word, which enables you to have a fulfilled life. Being spiritually brain-dead means there is no wisdom from the Word of God inside the mentality of the soul.

Developing a mature spiritual life requires consistent, high-quality nourishment from God’s Word taught by a well-qualified pastor. No Christian can read the Bible and attain spiritual maturity on their own. The Bible is a textbook designed by God to be taught by a man with the spiritual gift of pastor-teacher. “Your word I have treasured in my heart that I may not sin against You” (Ps 119:11). Scripture is layered—the more you learn, the more you realize you don’t know. When you understand God’s Word and store it in your heart, it reveals your weaknesses and strengths.

The wisdom of God is called spiritual solutions. The attainment of these solutions, or wisdom, is called spiritual growth. When you grow spiritually, you develop spiritual skills that allow you to live a spiritual life. What are those skills? (1) self-esteem, spiritual self-esteem, (2) spiritual autonomy, and eventually (3) spiritual maturity.

Faith is a legitimate way to make a decision and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ requires faith. That's why the Bible says, “For by grace through faith are you saved, not of works lest any man would brag about it”. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
