In this episode, I sat down with two PhD Philosophers to discuss the role classical philosophies can play in the modern era. Dr. Alexander Rosenthal Pubus is a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University and the author of a soon to be released book: "The Theoretic Life - A Classical Ideal and its Modern Fate". He is also the Director and co-founder (along with Dr. Miles Smit) of The Petrarch Institute - which offers online courses in classical philosophy.
This meeting came about as a result of an article I posted in July called "Goodbye Kardashian, Hello Epictetus" - In which I advocated for a "movement of meaning" or modern renaissance and return to stoicism as an antidote to what I consider to be the current age of narcism which we often see played out through social media.
