Welcome back to BizQuik! Two things Julie hates about the holidays - the need of guru's to call it Separation Season, and those stupid red cups from Starbucks. And today she's focusing on Separation Season, because it would be an absolute waste of time to record an entire episode of BizQuik about red cups.
Separation Season is that time of year when guru's brag about how much harder they are working than everyone else. They're getting ahead of all the competition by continuing to work 16 hour days, and they make sure everyone knows it. Julie says "ENOUGH!", if you wanna skip out on the holidays and continue with hustle culture, do it - but do it without telling the world you're doing it.
It is possible to grind out your days without sharing it with the entire world. It's also possible to let other people live their lives, spending their holidays however they want to spend them. Let's let people do what works for them without judging how hard they are or are not working.
Separate yourself. Take days off. Work hard. Don't work at all. Do you. That's really the point of being an entrepreneur - to do you.
