Hopes for approval on a second stimulus package before election day – including another round of direct payments –are all but dead.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell adjourned the Senate until Nov. 9, basically ending the prospect of a second coronavirus stimulus deal being reached before election day on Nov. 3.

Sen. Richard Shelby, R-AL, Senate Appropriations Chairman, said the chances of passing an immediate relief measure before election day are “very, very slim."

On Thursday, October 22nd, at 9PM ET, President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will face off for the final debate of the 2020 presidential campaign. The debate will be held at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Following Trump’s COVID-19 infection, the debate will be marked by a number of public health precautions. It will be held in person, but the candidates will be socially distanced and will not shake hands. The number of guests will be limited, and all guests will be required to wear masks.

On Thursday, March 26, Draganfly announced that it has been chosen and agreed a deal to deploy its COVID-19-sensing drones in Australia. Working with the Australian Department of Defense and the University of South Australia, the Draganfly deployment will see it using its “pandemic drones” to remotely monitor and detect people with infectious and respiratory conditions to help stop the further spread of the disease in Australia. The project has an initial budget of $1.5 million.

Using their onboard tech, the drones are capable of monitoring fever-associated temperature, heart and respiratory rates from a distance, as well as detecting people sneezing and coughing in crowds or places where groups of people may work or congregate.

In early March coronavirus meant working from home became the new normal for many of us. By the start of April nearly 35% of workers in the US had swapped the office for their homes. But the new normal isn’t temporary. Long after coronavirus, working from home will remain a big part of our lives.

This is no way to elect the leader of the Free World.

It was a train wreck and a dumpster fire rolled into one. It was messy, it was ugly and it never let up.

“Will you shut up, man?” former Vice President Joe Biden told President Donald Trump. “You’re not smart, Joe,” Trump said a few minutes later.

Later: “You’re the worst president America has ever had,” Biden said.

“I’ve done more in three years than you did in 47,” Trump responded.

And so it went. For 90 minutes.

It was a tawdry embarrassment.  And not just for Americans, but for a global audience that once looked up to — and once admired — our country.

The moderator, FOX News’ Chris Wallace, lost control quickly and often seemed powerless to stop the candidates from talking over each other. Trump interrupted, Biden smirked.

He had paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years — largely because he reported losing much more money than he made.
