Black, Brown, & Unsolved

Cleashindra Hall was 18 years old, weeks away from graduating high school, with college dreams, big plans, and her entire future ahead of her.

On May 9, 1994, she was dropped off at work at the home of Dr. Larry Amos in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

She never returned home.

More than three decades later, Clea's disappearance remains unsolved, and her family is still searching for answers.

What happened during her final known hours? Did she leave the house as Dr. Amos claimed? And what questions remain unanswered after all these years?

On November 4, 2018, Tamla Horsford, a 40-year-old wife and mother of five, was found dead following a birthday sleepover in Forsyth County, Georgia. She was the only Black woman attending.

Although authorities ruled her death accidental, questions remain about the timeline, injuries, witness statements, and investigation.

💔 The Sleepover From Hell: The Mysterious Death of Tamla Horsford | Part 1

Imagine attending a birthday sleepover with a group of women, expecting a night filled with laughter, friendship, and celebration… only to never make it home.

On November 4, 2018, 40-year-old Tamla Horsford, a wife and mother of five, was found dead in the backyard of a home in Forsyth County, Georgia, following an overnight birthday gathering.

Tamla was the only Black woman at the sleepover.

Authorities ruled her death accidental, but the circumstances surrounding her death, conflicting accounts, and questions about the investigation have continued to spark controversy.

In Part One, we're going back to where it all began. Who was Tamla Horsford? Who attended the sleepover? What happened during those final hours? And what do we know about the discovery of her body?

Tamla's case is especially meaningful to Black, Brown, & Unsolved because hers was the very first case I covered when I launched this podcast.

I've also spoken with Tamla's husband, Leander Horsford, and her friend Michelle Graves, whose perspectives have helped inform my coverage.

And y'all, we're far from finished.

Part Two is coming next week, when we'll examine the investigation, witness statements, inconsistencies, and unanswered questions surrounding Tamla's death.

38-year-old Don Juan Casanova Jackson vanished, leaving behind a wife, children, and a family desperate for answers.

🚨 Eighteen days later, his black 2005 Chevrolet Impala was discovered abandoned and burned near Fifth Avenue and Cottage Grove Avenue. But Don Juan was nowhere to be found.

What happened after he was last seen? What did his phone's location information reveal? And how could a man disappear, his vehicle turn up burned, and so many questions remain unanswered nearly eight years later?

💔 A Mother’s Cry for Answers: The Death of Ri’Chard Walker

On April 23, 2022, 19-year-old Ri’Chard Walker was found deceased inside his apartment in Sparkman, Arkansas. Investigators ultimately ruled his death a suicide. More than three years later, his mother, Markeshia Goff, says she still has questions that have never been answered.

For this episode of Black, Brown, & Unsolved, I chose a different approach.

Instead of telling Ri’Chard’s story entirely through my voice, I wanted you to hear directly from the woman who has lived this tragedy every single day since she lost her son.

Before recording this episode, I reviewed the investigative file, spoke extensively with Markeshia, and reached out to the sheriff’s department responsible for investigating Ri’Chard’s death to offer them the opportunity to answer questions and provide comment. As of the time this episode was published, I had not received a response.

This episode centers Markeshia’s perspective, her memories of Ri’Chard, and the questions she continues to carry. My goal isn’t to tell you what to believe… it’s to introduce you to the young man behind the case file and allow his mother’s voice to be heard.

In the coming weeks, I’ll take a deeper look at the investigative file and the questions that stood out to me on my upcoming YouTube after show, Black, Brown, & Unsolved: The Reality.

She loved dancing, making TikToks, and keeping up with the latest trends. She should have been worried about school, friends, and being a kid—not becoming the victim of years of grooming.

💔 In January 2004, Terrance Williams disappeared in Naples, Florida.

He was a father.

A son.

A man working two jobs and trying to rebuild his life.

And then… he was gone.

Terrance was last seen alive after an encounter with a Collier County sheriff’s deputy.

The deputy said he gave Terrance a ride.

Said he dropped him off at a Circle K.

Said he later didn’t remember key details.

No surveillance footage ever confirmed that drop-off.

No witnesses saw Terrance again.

No charges were ever filed.

What followed was a trail of shifting stories, disturbing audio, racialized language, and an investigation filled with contradictions… not just in Terrance’s case, but in another disappearance tied to the same deputy.

🎄 12 Days of Christmas on Black, Brown, & Unsolved.

This is not an unsolved case… and that’s exactly why it needed to be covered.

In this episode, we examine the case of Armond Langford, a man with a documented history of violent crime who was released early and allowed back into the community… only to go on and commit one of the most terrifying crimes imaginable.

A Louisville mother was kidnapped at knifepoint.

Her two children were in the car.

She was stabbed.

And she was forced to help rob a bank to survive.

This episode isn’t about race.

It’s about systems.

It’s about shock probation, recidivism, and how someone serving a 14-year sentence can walk free after just a few years… while others sit behind bars for decades over non-violent offenses.

It’s about how we define “low risk.”

Who gets second chances.

And who pays the price when those decisions go wrong.

And this… this is the story of what happens when habitual offenders are allowed to walk.

A night that started with music, friends, and plans turned deadly for Amiyah Cunningham.

What happened next wasn’t an accident… it was a series of decisions.

And what followed wasn’t justice… it was delay.

In this episode, we walk through the night Amiyah lost her life, the moments after she was hit and dragged, the choices made by the people around her, and the three-week gap before authorities finally called this what it was.

This case is exactly why I do what I do.

Because when our stories don’t get told right away,

when it takes public outcry just to move the needle —
