  • Episode 6: Don't Wait for Anyone to Change

Last year I unblocked my mother and yesterday we spoke to each other for 90 minutes. It is surreal to have a close relationship to someone, when you have known them your whole life, but you don't in fact KNOW them. In this podcast I talk about how my relationship with her has helped me to double down on the fact that people do not change until they are good and ready and it is a waste of my precious life force/time to wait for beg for it. People are who they are. Let people be who they are, or leave them alone and watch your relationships deepen. I love yall.

This podcast is brought to you by my wellness journal line. I have journals about Joy, Grief, Thriving with a Dry Phone and Choosing Yourself. They are all 19.99 and you can buy them on my shop AND on Amazon. Community is all we got and community is the future so thank  you for supporting me.

  • Being Addicted to Being a Victim: Revisited - Episode 5

Two months ago I was reviewing my old blog posts to see if there was any posts that I wanted to include in Black Girls Are from the Future, VLII. While I was reading it, I was did not recognize myself. Then I decided to revisit the old post but as an OG. It is a wild ride.

I am fundraising to get my books and journals into Black bookstores in DC, Boston, and hopefully Oakland. Link to my GoFundMe for #BlackGirlsareFromtheFuture . I got my first donation last week. Thank you Becky!

Thank you for listening, reading and for supporting me. Community is all we got and community is they future. 🙏🏾💕💫💐

  • What Do You Do When Your Homegirl Ghosts You?: Episode 4: Black Girls Are From the Future Podcast

I saw a post on threads earlier this morning and I had a visceral reaction to it. The post asked "What do you do when your friend ghosts you?" I responded "I am assume she is depressed, dying or both." Then I had to take a moment and step back because I have not always been on this kind of time. In fact, making this assumption is new for me.

    In this podcast I discusses:

    • The importance of Black Women's Friendships
    • How I evolved to give Black women the benefit of the doubt
    • How Ms. Toni Morrison's Sula is responsible for helping me to see the importance of Black women's friendships.

I even included two commercials for my wellness journal line in the podcast! I have journals about grief, joy, self care, self love, and how to thrive with a dry phone. They are all 19.99. Thank you for supporting me. Enjoy the pod.
