For this last Saturday of February, I'll be winding up our Black History Month celebration with many assorted bands and bandleaders. I call this type of show a potpourri show in that there is no theme, we'll just be listening to a wide variety of African-American bands. The Big Band Bash puzzler is back this week so I hope you have your thinking caps on. Some of the bands we'll be hearing include Andy Kirk, Erskine Hawkins, Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington and Jimmie Lunceford. I hope you enjoy the music as we wind up Black History Month.
