This interview from December 15, 2023 was a discussion on my career journey. I shared my perspective on diversity in accounting which led to conversation on how public education and public policy. Truly an interesting dialogue.

A recent interview about my accounting career sparked a realization: I haven't shared enough of the experiences that shaped my worldview. So, in the upcoming episode I'll be sharing the full interview – an unfiltered look at my journey, the challenges I've faced, and the lessons I've learned.

Jerome Fulton, Jr., is a Finance and Enterprise Performance Consultant at Deloitte Consulting. Jerome's primary industries are Technology, Media and Entertainment, and Telecommunications, and he specializes in improving Financial Operations and assisting with Finance Transformations.

Jerome is a University of Southern California and University of Florida graduate with a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, respectively. Jerome aspires to inspire, and he enjoys mentoring and giving back to his community.

Black Leadership Matters

I competed and won an international competition to serve on the Board of Directors for a prestigious accounting honor society where I traveled abroad as a brand ambassador engaging students and speaking about transitioning to the workplace and advancing their careers in the accounting profession.

Since then, I’ve developed a diverse network which continues to teach me the importance of resilience.

I am education finance consultant, a licensed CPA, a small-business owner, and a lover of Trap music.

Identity is important to me because it symbolizes because Pride in all of ones self.

As the Gay son of a Nigerian immigrant and beautiful Black American woman, I began to consider my contribution to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Thriving in a high-functioning city like Washington, DC triggers my seratonin levels through the roof!

However, this podcast offers an escape from reality to engage in quality dialogue with some of my favorite young professionals across industry, function, and sector. We will cover topics regarding race, allyship, and belonging while promoting social justice and entrepreneurship.
