'Iolani (ee-oh-lah-ni) is a Bronx native who caught the travel bug at a young age. She has been lucky to have a career that feeds her love of travel and desire to learn about other cultures. A diversity, equity and inclusion professional by day, and novelist by night, she received her bachelor of arts from New York University and MBA from Georgetown University. She is a mother of two under three who believes in the power of normalizing difference and seeing diverse protagonists in children's literature.
