I really enjoy blending in tunes from the 70s with music made in the 2020s. Music is a conversation. Bolter & Grusin have pushed me to go further.

I'll hear a bass line and play something random that resolves it. I'll follow a messy krautrock melter with a chart #1 single. It's an old (hate to say the word) jazz lesson: try really hard to bypass everything but your intuition in the moment, and you're good!

I like creative transitions and don't like to play by the rules. I question it often. Maybe playing it safe and holding it back are not going to be my contributions to Music.

Bolter & Grusin would say I'm fascinated with the medium while also denying it completely.

Chlorys is a musical & visual entity based in Bucharest. She is part of the Queer Night family of DJs and was a Shape Platform alumni in 2017. From 2016 until present, she is a founding member of Corp., a platform with a focus on representing and promoting queer identities.

Aside from being active on the local clubbing scene, she also tinkers with the visual and sound arts, having had works exhibited in various galleries such as Suprainfinit Gallery, MNAC Anexa, Ivan Gallery, Rubik Space, Atelier35, Kunsthalle Bega, Art Encounters Biennial of Contemporary Art in Timișoara, the Bucharest Botanical Garden.

Born in Bucharest’s underground, Șerban deals in stripped-down grooves, ghostly textures, and experimental mutations of minimal techno. His sound explores restraint and texture while remaining versatile enough for immersive listening or club settings.

Reaching its 20th anniversary edition, SIMULTAN Festival chooses to not look back with nostalgia. RE:MEDIATE is not a festive theme, but rather a call to action, as well as an opportunity to reflect on the festival's journey over the past two decades.

The term "remediation" (as it appears in Bolter and Grusin's theories) describes the process by which new media technologies adapt and transform older media forms, creating a dynamic progression in the media landscape. This year's edition extends this idea beyond visual aesthetics to deeper territories: what else can truly be remediated today?

Based in Bucharest, Low Freq is active in the music scene for over 15 years. Music producer, Dj and promoter, Low Freq combines elements of bass music with strong industrial synths, continuously searching to explore the sound.

Along the time Low Freq played in groups such as Blanoz and Shadowbox, and since 2014 he started the group Dream Diggers. 2017 is the year Low Freq put the foundation for Black Rhino Music, a group of musicians, promoters, and visual artist dedicated in promoting the culture behind the sound.

As things went on, he transformed Black Rhino Music into Black Rhino Radio in 2021. This transformation marked the appearance of the online radio station, which hosts over 120 monthly shows, setting the project as a cornerstone in the local musical landscape.

Now, most of his work is dedicated to radio and promoting the music and ideas the broadcasters put on the internet waves daily.

Admina is a versatile artist blending roles as a DJ, producer, visual creator, and advocate for inclusivity in electronic music. A resident of LYL Radio in France, they host the show URZICA3000. As a founding member of Corp, a platform supporting female and non-binary electronic music artists, Admina also co-hosts the radio shows Arp148 and Corpcast, which explore themes within the queer community. Their artistic pursuits span feminist poetry, experimental audiovisual projects, and performances in dance and theater.

Half-remembered and collapsing, raw and physical, strange in its intimacy, unfolding through chaos and release, both cinematic and bodily.
