A little bit of the things I listen to while working or walking my dog or just hanging out with my friends. Some songs or artists even birthed ideas of illustrations and series of artworks. Oneof my ideal projects would be to design album covers for my favorite artists, and this basically stood at the root of my "FANBOY" series, a sort of visual playlist and homage to a genre of music. I even created a playlist for my exhibition, and some people loved it, so I thought why not try to take it just a tiny step further and share with even more people.

Ionyouth Soundsystem has been active in the Belgian reggae/dub scene since 1999 being one of the first Belgian dub sounds. Over the years, Ionyouth played large Belgian festivals such as Irie Vibes, Dour, Reggae Geel and their sound hosted artists such as Aba Shanti, Jah Voice, Jah Tubbys and the late great Jah Shaka.

Their selection is a great mix of late 70s roots killers, 80's digital, 90s UK roots and heavy dub vibes.

The right music allows for moments of sublimation—places and characters being and becoming: Buffalo Bill stares into the camera and begs the question, ‘would you fuck me?,’ Q Lazarus pulsing through his flesh-quilted basement; the late Shelley Duvall as Olive Oil croons over the strange, mumbling, brave outcast in Popeye, her song, reprised in Punch Drunk Love, illuminates a heart-swelling moment of sheer manic joy.

We welcomed back in our studio Federica Messaggeri Salem, known as ZAREEN, a Milan-based music selector with Egyptian roots. She weaves atmospheric textures into her sets, exploring magnetic fusion of groovy electro, acid and disco, all layered with ambient soundscapes. Since 2021, her sound has evolved into a captivating blend, integrating the sonic energy of disco with the underground edge of electronic music.
