Japanese DJ and producer zéne was drawn to music from a young age (around five), growing up surrounded by diverse sounds: his mother's love of classical music and indie rock, and his father's fondness for The Beatles. This early exposure inspired him to learn multiple instruments, including violin, saxophone, and double bass, before discovering digital music production in 2010.

Initially drawn to producers like Skrillex and deadmau5, zéne began creating EDM, primarily focusing on house music. A pivotal moment came in 2017 when he met U-koh, leading to the formation of the dance music group 64controll. Exploring styles from filter house to lo-fi hip hop, their musical journey eventually took them to Chicago, where they immersed themselves in the city's vibrant music scene, producing and DJing juke/footwork and tech house tracks. 

In 2024, 64controll collaborated with the hyperpop duo DaXx (yomgida and ness) to launch 64DX, a project dedicated to exploring the boundaries of alternative pop.

zéne's eclectic sound design and DJ sets seamlessly blend these diverse influences, creating high-energy experiences that bridge the gap between underground sounds and accessible dance music.
