This month’s playlist drifts through deep dub atmospherics, minimal techno hypnosis, and low-end bass experimentation. Tracks from Hidden Sequence, Claudio PRC, Deadbeat, and Calibre establish a spacious, smoky foundation, while three cuts from next month’s Homegrown compilation offer a glimpse into emerging underground currents focused on texture, system pressure and mood. Dub appears here not just as a genre influence, but as a philosophy shaping the entire selection.
Sagaman delivers a heavyweight dub stepper with Mad Man, Dubik reshapes Three People into a pulsating, echo-drenched remix, and Feusha brings a sharp modern UKG swing on Stunt Bloc. The inclusion of tracks from APOTEK, Rust, and Artisoma threads together broken rhythms, underground club textures, and finely detailed production, balancing kinetic pressure with forward-looking club energy. The Romanian underground tracks, from Rhadoo’s classic rework of Omul Cu Șobolani to Lost Bastoneros breakbeat rebuild of Specii and the unreleased rave weapon from Solis & Kukilla brings a raw, unpredictable edge that keeps the selection from feeling overly polished or algorithmic. Together with contributions from Om Unit, Dj Madd, and Hassan Abou Alam, the result feels less like a genre playlist and more like a carefully mapped sound system journey: bass-heavy, immersive, and subtly restless.
