for march, i prepared an episode with songs made by some of my favourite women in jazz. and without realising it, it slowly transformed into a tribute to Black Women.

from the ones who shaped jazz history, to the ones expanding it today: Dorothy Ashby, Alice Coltrane and Nina Simone, and moving toward Meshell Ndegeocello, Nubya Garcia, Nala Sinephro and the new generation.

jazz was shaped by Black musicians, and Black women have always carried its depth and resistance. it wasn’t planned as a statement, it just happened, and that makes it even more special to me. :)

in the second part of the show, you’ll hear a very intimate interview recorded at Eurosonic (ESNS) in January, with Belgian soul-jazz artist Adja, a lovely young woman I discovered last year through the showcase. we talk about her beginnings, her first EP and album, love, friendship, and what it means to build something of your own.

as Humo (Gent Jazz 2025) wrote: “think the charisma of Betty Davis, the wisdom of Lauryn Hill, the humor of Charlotte Adigéry, and the gentle power of Erykah Badu.”

i hope this episode feels like both a tribute and a continuation.

She co-curates Lumi Posibile, a speculative fiction interdisciplinary online platform & is part of Revista Strîmbă, a platform for contemporary literature that disrupts and soothes.

as spring is approaching but is not quite there yet, Rev invites Laetabilis on air for a one-hour mix in his very own vision. as he puts it:

"imagine a cold, ambient atmosphere that really highlights nature, just like a walk up on a mountain on a foggy day. that’s what I’m going for. i drew connections between many genres, to show that even completely different songs are able to capture the same energy. they can take you on an emotional trip up the same mountain. snow leopards live here. i’ll be here to guide you, even when the musical formula changes.

this icy mountain has some warmth to it as well. it’s comforting. at night the stars look incredibly beautiful and the sky is spectacular. it clears your mind and calms you down so much that even the cold fades like a distant memory. the cold is not important anymore. that’s how i chose my tracks — like sipping from a cup of green tea while walking through the snow."

ENTROPICA’s first breath was a function of curiosity; so is its ensuing lifecycle. The broadcast is a vessel, a rhythmic omnium gatherum of the sounds that move and connect us.

 Rejecting rigid genre boundaries to embrace the beauty of eclecticism, each broadcast centers on a specific leitmotif: a theme, a feeling, a sonic anchor of some sort. It is atmospheric by design and purposefully open-ended.
