Black Rock Church Sermons

We're kicking off 2026 by encouraging everyone to embark on a discipleship journey together—a powerful and inspiring look at what it means to grow our faith while inviting and investing in others.

Andres will teach us about the Parable of the Talents and how God has put something in your hands that's too valuable to bury. This Sunday, we'll reflect on what we've done with what God gave us and discover how to step into the new year ready to invest, multiply, and live boldly for Him.

Even when life isn't easy, God is gently leading, shaping, and strengthening us. God with us means Jesus is present and brings comfort and growth in the moments we need Him most.

The angels announced "great joy for all people," and that joy is still available today. Join us as we explore how God's presence can turn fear into wonder, and wonder into a joy worth celebrating and sharing.

Life rarely goes the way we planned, but the Christmas story shows that God is powerfully at work even when everything feels confusing or out of control. This week, we'll discover how Immanuel meets us in our uncertainty with purpose and peace.

We live in a results-obsessed world, where success is measured by what we can count and see. But God calls us to something deeper: obedience that isn't defined by outcomes. In this message, we'll wrestle with the tensions between visible fruit and faithful service, learning how to trust God with the harvest even when our efforts feel unseen or unproductive. It's a reminder that in God's Kingdom, faithfulness is the real success.

Welcome to The Black Rock Podcast, where faith meets real life—and where we're never afraid to try a new snack along the way. Today we're diving into the holiday season, from Thanksgiving to Christmas, and all the joy, excitement, busyness, and stress that can come with it. But in the middle of packed calendars, family gatherings, shopping lists, and expectations, we're reminded that we can find peace and lasting hope in Christ. So grab a seat—and maybe a snack—and let's jump in.

Life can often feel like a swirl of randomness — suffering, confusion, unanswered questions — leaving us wondering, "Where is God in all this?" This sermon explores how faith changes the way we see the world, helping us look beyond the chaos to the deeper picture of God's presence and purpose. Before we see the evidence, we must choose to believe — and when we do, we discover that God has been there all along, weaving beauty beneath the surface.

Those being baptized today have made third decisions when it comes to following Jesus. They have DECIDED to BELIEVE, SURRENDER and GROW. We celebrate with those today who have decided to follow Jesus, and there is no turning back.

This message will help us discover that the real battles we face are spiritual in nature and require us to fight God's way. God is on our side and will do more than we can imagine if we depend on Him and follow His ways.
