In an effort to highlight black personalities and black culture, Celina and Genie go over the history of electronic dance music and spotlight the lack of color in the ballet world. Celina dives into the history of house and techno, which has its origins in disco, and explains how it evolved into the music we know today. Genies explains how ballet came to America and describes the challenges people of color face in the ballet world. She also talks about one of the most famous ballerinas of all time, Misty Copeland.
