We are joined by Alan G. Phillips, J.D. NC Attorney and an author of "Vaccine Legal Exemptions - Vaccine Rights".
*Alan's concern about immunization issues inspired him to pursue a law degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Today, Alan is one of few attorneys in the U.S. whose legal practice regularly includes vaccine exemption and waiver issues.
Program Outline:
1. Why vaccine exemptions? Brief discussion including research of Dr. Andrew Moulden, Ph.D., M.D., who has identified the precise physiological mechanism by which vaccines cause harm. Forensics report explains mechanism.
2. Intro to vaccine exemptions generally: exemption types, contexts for vaccine refusal, common pitfalls. Many different contexts, but same legal precedent applies to most (religious exemptions). Rights can vary in declared emergencies.
3. Pandemic Flu:
A. Facts that are driving the present, growing concern about pandemic flu vaccines and possible emergency scenario we may be facing.
B. Levels of authority and jurisdiction--local, state, federal, intn'l (who can mandate vaccines and emergency medical treatment for whom, etc.)
C. State level focus. Model State Emergency Health Powers Act: required medical treatment, quarantine and isolation--our right or lack thereof to refuse, quarantine at home, etc.
D. Role of the fed government: partnerships with states, military *could* be involved.
E. Answer to government's over-reaching: change policy and law.
