The Context of White Supremacy hosts the third study session on Alice Sebold's LUCKY. Sebold is a White Woman and celebrated author of fiction. Incidentally, Sebold has penned other best selling books about rape. LUCKY was published in 1999 and reportedly details the trauma of Sebold being raped by a black male in Syracuse, New York. Anthony Broadwater steadfastly maintained his innocence. However, Sebold selected him as her attacker, and Broadwater was convicted. Apparently, he was punished for not admitting that he raped Sebold. Broadwater served 16 years for the crime before being exonerated. Sebold offered a lame apology, and plans to transform LUCKY into a major motion picture have been canceled. During last week's session, Sebold provided a graphic depiction of her sexual assault at the hands of a "negro" male. She repeatedly references herself as a pure White virgin. Sebold also describes an awkward scene with a black male student who comes to comfort her after the attack. She hugs him to calm his sense of guilt.

The Religion Of White Supremacy mandates that the world acknowledge this day as the birth of White Jesus. In the midst of the celebration, Covid-19 continues it's winter resurgence. Just this week, the U.S. reportedly eclipsed 800,000 Covid deaths, saw the FDA approve two pills to combat the virus, and a re-institution of mask mandates in many locations. Once again, the eyes of the nation and world were focused on Minnesota jurors' deliberations over the legal fate of White officer who killed a black male. Kimberly Potter was found guilty of two counts of manslaughter for the shooting death of Daunte Wright. She'll be sentenced next year. Speaking of no count black guys, after more than two decades, Devonia Inman was finally exonerated for a 1998 murder he did not commit. Liberated in time for eggnog. ps, it's cold in Seattle.

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. As we've been told, it's Christmas Eve. Many non-white people around the world have time away from the plantation in honor of White Jesus's birthday. Unfortunately, this also means a number of office holiday parties. Even with Covid-19, these tacky events are still happening. In England, Shaun Bailey, a black male, was forced to resign after he was seen in photographs from a 2020 "christmas" gathering with Prime Minister Boris Johnson's staff. The shindig took place after Johnson and other White public officials prohibited holiday gatherings. Bailey is the only black person pictured in the photograph. He's also the only person to lose employment or face serious reprimand for attending the party.

Victim of White Supremacy and prominent feminist bell hooks passed away this week at the age of 69. President Joe Biden issued a warning to "unvaccinated" citizens in the wake of reports of increasing Covid-19 vaccination rates. Once again, the nation watches a White enforcement official, Kim Potter, on trial for killing a black male, Daunte Wright. In Louisiana, Lafayette City Court Judge Michelle Odinet has been disqualified from the bench while an investigation reviews video that appears to show her using racist language after an alleged crime at her residence. In Iowa, Steven Vogel was convicted for the 2020 murder of Michael Williams, a 44-year-old black male. Vogel hanged Williams to death, tossed his corpse in a ditch, and set his remains ablaze. Williams was allegedly "romantically" involved with Vogel's "girlfriend," which necessitated the lynching.
